US President Donald Trump says the time for strategic tolerance in North Korea has been completed.
In a joint speech with South Korean president Moon Jae, at the White House headquarters, Trump said North Korean threats should be able to get a bold answer.
However, Trump has said it is important to have a partnership in sharing the security burden.
The South Korean President has said that his nation will set up security reforms and build a strong defense base.
President Moon also said it is important to continue negotiations with the North Korean leaders.
In addition, Mr. Moon said it was important to continue negotiating with the North Korean leaders.
Mr Moon said that the North Korean question should be given priority during the dialogue emphasizing that only solid security can bring peace throughout the Pacific.
Speaking at the Whitehouse Headquarters, Mr. Trump said that when tolerance with North Korea was overlooked for years, he added: Indeed, patience has endured.
The US leader has said that his government is now working with South Korea and Japan including some international partners to take several diplomatic, security and economic measures to protect its allies with US citizens against the disaster in North Korea.
